What's the difference between an Immerse Developer account and a Platform account?

The Immerse Platform has two distinct elements:

  • The Immerse Developer Portal is a space for developers to build, iterate and test their applications, before deployment
  • The main Immerse Platform is where finalised applications are deployed across an organisation; using end user authentication, user management, application management / deployment and data capture / reporting
As of December 2023, Immerse accounts now offer the flexibility to be both a Platform user and a Developer. If you require access to both functionalities, simply reach out to us at support@immerse.io and let us know.

If your account is a Developer only account, when you try to log-in to the Immerse Platform (at vr.immerse.io) you will receive a message: “An error has occurred. Please contact the administrator.”

Developers can reset their password at vr.immerse.io but cannot log-in there

As a Platform user, if you try to log-in to the Immerse SDK in Unity, you will receive a message: “You are not able to create content with this account. Please contact your administrator to get creator access"
