The Immerse App (Launcher) is an application ("APK") installed on a VR headset, offering learners a user-friendly way to access assigned content
The Immerse App (Launcher) is currently not available through consumer stores and should be installed via Mobile Device Management software such as Quest for Business (meta.com), Workspace ONE (omnissa.com), or similar.
Installation via Quest for Business
The Immerse App (Launcher) is a Quest for Business Private App (meta.com).
Log into Quest for Business Admin Center > Organization Settings (meta.com) and provide Immerse with your Organization Key, by clicking [ Generate key ].
Once Immerse has received your Organization Key, you will be invited to accept the Launcher into your organization.
Check Devices > Manage apps (meta.com) and look for the invitation at the top of the page. Click [ View Invitation ]
Next [ Add App ]
Manually add the Immerse Launcher app logo
As of July 2024, developers cannot distribute cover images or logos with Private Quest for Business apps. As a result, they all look very similar on the VR homescreen by default, making it hard for users to differentiate them. This can be remedied by manually adding a logo.
Download Immerse Logo.png (drive.google.com)
Go to Devices > Manage Apps (meta.com) and locate the Immerse Launcher you just added. Click on the ellipsis (three horizontal dots) and [ Edit app settings ]
Next [ Upload ] the Immerse Logo you downloaded previously and click [ Confirm ]
Once the Immerse Logo has been added, users will be able to see the Immerse Launcher displayed on their VR homescreen in a distinctive way.
