After content has been added, it can be assigned to Learners for VR access with the Immerse App (Launcher), or in a standard browser, if the content is WebGL
👍 This section covers Immerse Platform Version 3
How to identify which version of the Immerse Platform you are using
1. Create a new assignment by accessing vr.immerse.io/assignments. Click [ + NEW ASSIGNMENT ] and provide a name
2. Choose single or multi player (after selecting the mode, it cannot be changed). Most applications will be single user, however some will be created which utilise the Immerse Platform's collaborative functionality. This will be defined when the app is uploaded.
3. Choose content to be assigned - Programs, Courses, Apps and Surveys can be added at this point.
In this example, a Course called 'Health and Safety' has been chosen. It contains three Apps ('Life Saving Rules PRO', 'Warehouse Hazard Spotting', 'Construction Road Safety') and a 'Training Review' Survey.
4. Add Learners. In this example the Course is assigned to a group called 'cambridge-factory' containing 134 learners, along with a single Learner.
5. Choose whether the training is 'Required' or 'Optional'.
- Required - mandatory content that has a due date for expected completion
- Optional - content that may be of interest but is not required
If 'Required' is selected, you are prompted to choose from two further options:
- Fixed due date - set a specific date for content to be completed. Overdue Assignments remain available to Learners.
- Allowed time - set an expected timeframe for completion, based on the date each Learner is assigned
In this example, an allowed time of one month is chosen.
6. Activate the Assignment
Upon clicking [ ACTIVATE ], Learners will be notified that they've been instructed to complete the training - via a direct email. Alternatively, the assignment can be saved as draft, for activation at a later date.
VR Learner experience in the Immerse App (Launcher)
In the example below, a Learner in VR has successfully logged into the Immerse App (Launcher) and is now able to access the 'Health and Safety' Assignment with its three associated apps and survey:
