How to integrate content onto the Immerse Marketplace

Step 1

If you are integrating content for the Immerse Marketplace, please ensure you have access to the Partner Portal. You can request access by emailing partners@immerse.io.

Getting started with the Immerse SDK

You will need to follow the Developer Quick Start Guide to get set up with the Immerse SDK and become familiar with how it integrates in applications.

Getting Started with the Portal

Check your email for an invitation to the Partner Portal. Once you've accepted the invite, set up your account and explore the portal.

Familiarize yourself with the guides, links, and FAQs that will help you make progress. You can also view your signed contracts with Immerse, and your Immerse-styled app icons in the "My Documents" section. 

Step 2

Submitting a Demo App

Before starting development with the Immerse SDK, submit to Quality Evaluate (QE) to ensure it is suitable for our customers. If it doesn’t pass QE you haven’t lost any time integrating it.

To submit the app, locate the "Submit Demo App" form within the Partner Portal. You will need to provide the title of the app, the headset it's built for, along with the APK. 

We will QE the app within 5 working days and provide feedback to you via email.

Step 3

Submitting Your Final App

If your app passes QE and you would like to resell it on our Marketplace, you will need to integrate it onto the Immerse Platform.

The integration process includes the following steps:

  • Add an Immerse PIN Pad to the front of the app
  • Ensure the app has a completion statement
  • Activate the correct splash screens, yours then Immerse
  • Make sure your app has been automatically zipped using our SDK
  • Display a version number in the app
  • Make sure the package name follows the following format: com.YourCompanyName.YourAppName.immerse.HeadsetType

Follow the steps in the Developer Quick Start Guide to integrate the Immerse SDK and set up a Platform connection scene. This will ensure the SDK is set up correctly, and you can authenticate your users correctly.

Once your app has been fully integrated using the Immerse SDK, submit it via the "Submit Final App" form within the Partner Portal. Here, you will be asked to provide basic information about the app, (such as the title, headset, screenshots of reporting), along with the zipped APK.

For every app you submit, you must also:

  • Set a price using the pricing guides found in the "Guides/Links" section of the portal. This sheet is just for guidance, you can set any price you like as long as it follows our structure.
  • Provide marketing information. This will include images, a video and a description. The Marketing Sheet is accessible in the “Guides/Links” section of the portal.

These two sheets are to be downloaded from the portal, completed, and then emailed back to us at partners@immerse.io

Step 4

Once submitted it will go through our Quality Assurance process.(QA) to check it has met all the steps listed above. Please QA this before submitting as there can be a delay in the QA process for resubmissions:

Review 1 - within 5 working days

Review 2 - within 15 working days

Review 3 - within 60 working days

Our QA team will evaluate your content on:

  • APK Icon correct
  • PIN Pad installed
  • Frame Rate (>65fps)
  • No core flow bugs (that stop completion of module or detract from learning)
  • APK is reporting on the Platform

Our quality assurance is just a final check. All quality assurance and testing must be done by you to meet the above requirements as rejection will delay publication to the Marketplace.

Publishing to the Marketplace

Once your final app has been tested and has passed our QA and all the documentation received, we will publish it to the Marketplace. This is done on our side, you do not need to do anything additional for the app to be published.

  • We will add it to our platform, which will allow us to distribute your content.
  • We will also add it (using the marketing information you have supplied) to the Marketplace Library. Once it is published, we will send you the link for your review.
